When I clean up inks or use a paper towel to redirect ink on a panel or paper, I have these leftover squares that I am loathe to just throw away. I decided to do a collage with them instead.

This is the first one I did and the colours in the paper towel seemed to dictate the subject matter. I glued all the pieces on and then applied a final coat of gel medium to secure everything.

I see this as a way to make something beautiful out of discards and wastes, which could be a bigger statement than just the explanation of an art technique.
