happy

poured inks on wood panel

sold

This was a “test” painting, the very first time I ever tried pouring inks on a wood panel.

While I worked on this painting, I thought about all the things that made me happy: moonlight, sunsets, mountains and lakes, and watching people love the outdoors and each other. It was only meant to be a test, but I love how it became a testimony.

The owner and the painting live in Toronto now. We FaceTime every few weeks and talk about everything there is. Most times, at some point in the conversation, he will reiterate how much he believes in me and my art. Suffice it to say, this painting continues to represent happy for me.
